BRINGING THE ARMIES

OF THE NIGHT TO

VIDEO GAMES CONSOLES

EVERYWHERE

As a Brand Manager, I played a critical role in the marketing team for the video game adaptation of The Warriors. My responsibilities involved close collaboration with a wide array of professionals, including PR specialists, art directors, illustrators, media planners and buyers, digital artists, screenshot and gameplay capture artists, editors, sound designers, programmers, developers, game designers, and producers. Together, we aimed to create a cohesive and compelling marketing narrative that aligned with the game's gritty, retro aesthetic and intense gameplay.

  • My specific tasks included creation of engaging trailers that captured the essence of 1970s New York gang culture, as portrayed in the game. I coordinated with digital artists and video editors to ensure that each piece of promotional content not only resonated with fans of the original film but attracted new players to the franchise. My role also involved overseeing the screenshot and gameplay capture process, working with dedicated artists to select moments showcasing the game’s unique combat system and atmospheric settings.

Additionally, I managed the relationship with BradyGames during the development of the official strategy guide. This required aligning their content creation processes to produce a guide that was not only informative but also enhanced the overall player experience by deepening engagement and providing a richer understanding of the game’s world.

This required aligning our marketing strategies with their content creation processes to produce a guide that was not only informative but also enhanced the overall player experience by deepening engagement and providing a richer understanding of the game’s world.

Our promotional efforts were PR and media driven and I worked closely with the communications team to supply information for in-depth profiles about the game, gameplay an expanded lore.

  • Upon release, The Warriors was met with critical acclaim and celebrated for its faithful adaptation of the iconic film, particularly its authentic depiction of the characters and settings resonating well with both longtime fans and newcomers. The positive reception was a testament to the team's hard work and dedication, confirming our ability to create a marketing campaign that truly resonated with the target audience and built strong anticipation ahead of the launch and is still wanted and in demand for a remake today.
